Where can I find out more information online?

Moving to a new country is hugely exciting, but it is no small task.  You will be exposed to a new culture and new ways of doing things.  This may feel a bit daunting, but you needn’t worry.  New Zealanders are a welcoming people and will always be ready to help.

We hope that our site has already provided you with a lot of the information you need to know about moving here, particularly in terms of visa and professional registration requirements.  But there may still be a few things you’re unsure about.

We have therefore put together a list of helpful websites to help you get on your way.

Information that is pertinent to health practitioners, can be found at the NZ Ministry of Health’s website.  At this site, you will find all the information you need to know about the NZ health system and our various health strategies.

It’s also important that you are familiar with NZ standards.  If you want to have a look at best practice guidelines, check out New Zealand Guidelines Group’s website.

More generally, if you want to find the website of any government service, from city council websites through to civil defence, the police or even the postal service, it will be listed at newzealand.govt.nz
